Xin Tian Di 新天地

Xin Tian Di, firmly embedded in the traditional Shanghai Shikumen houses, gradually gaining its fame, now has become the hottest tourist spot of the city. The little neighbourhood, divided by Xingye Rd.into a north and south block is lined with chic restaurants, bars and boutique shops. You may order a drink, sit in the open air, and enjoy people-watching, although it's not the only thing to do here.

Shikunmen Open House Museum 屋里厢石库门 No.25, Lane 181, Taicang Rd,

"Wulixiang", in shanghai dialect meaning "home", is an authentic recreation of a Shikumen family. You'll see typical living conditions of a local family in Shanghai, which is interesting to know. Admission is Y20.

 
Site of the 1st National Congress of the CCP 中共一大会址纪念馆 76 Xingye Rd.

The birth place of the Chinese Communist Party, founded on 23 July 1921. The historic site is now a museum filled with original relics and memorabilia documenting the early history of the party.
Admission if free of charge.
